Sometimes I get tired of my same smoothie routine over and over. Sometimes I want a ‘sweet’ treat while also sticking to a healthy eating plan. This smoothie takes care of both! The peanut butter just gives it enough of a different taste that it breaks up the routine while not completely derailing my eating choices.
If you read my last smoothie post you’ll remember I use a Vitamix to blend my smoothies and it is amazzzzing! The kale gets chopped up so small instead of leaving it full of green chunks that are no fun to try to drink. This recipe is just one I put together - so feel free to adjust to your tastes! I also add a serving of Genepro medical grade protein powder. If you haven’t heard of this stuff, check it out! It is amazing and really does mix with everything without turning it into a weird flavor - tea, coffee, juice, you name it! You can get it on Amazon and I order it with their subscription service so it automatically ships to me every few months. This one typically turns out way more green than the berry smoothie but don’t let that scare you, it is delicious!
1 cup almond vanilla beverage - this can vary on the size of blender or how much kale you use but 1 cup is a good starting point
1/2 - 1 banana
1 cup quick oats
2-4 tablespoons of peanut butter - smoothy or chunky works
1-3 Kale leaves
Optional - 1 tablespoon Flax Seed
Optional - 1 serving of Protein Powder of choice
